When asked to define Munster’s football identity, head coach Romison St-Louis kept it simple.
“We’re going to be multiple,” St-Louis said. “It might look complicated to the outside, but for us it’s simple because it’s just little switches. Defensively, offensively, that’s what we’re about.”
He said discipline is at the core. “At the end of the day, we want to be a disciplined football team,” St-Louis said. “We want to get the ball in space on offense, and defensively we want to limit space and play physical football.”
Players echoed that philosophy. Schassburger said preparation helps him balance school and athletics. “When I’m at school, I focus on school,” he said. “Toward the end of the day I shift to football. I picture the practice plan before it happens.”
Richards said his approach is similar. “I focus on schoolwork first, and I try to get everything done in class,” he said. “That way I’m ready to focus on football after school.”
St-Louis said that mindset fits the program’s direction. “We want guys who understand what it takes to commit,” he said. “That’s how we build our identity.”
