Last season, Munster’s offense struggled to put points on the board early. Head coach Romison St-Louis says that can’t happen again.
“I told our kids, the most important thing is we start fast,” St-Louis said. “We can’t go four games without scoring. People come to football games to see touchdowns, and we need to put points up.”
St-Louis said the coaching staff revamped practice planning to address that. “We’ve ramped up the reps to make sure mistakes are out of the way early,” he said. “By Friday night, we want to be sharp.”
Quarterback Danny Schassburger said his leadership role includes keeping the offense steady. “If we miss on one play, we don’t focus on it,” he said. “We talk it out and make the correction. Then we move on to the next play.”
Richards said the defense is working to complement that fast start. “We break out every day with our core values — physical, movement and discipline,” he said. “We want to live those on the field.”
St-Louis said the goal is simple. “Compete, take the ball away and score touchdowns,” he said.
