Munster High School’s football team will travel to Hammond Central on Friday night as the Mustangs aim to secure a postseason victory and build momentum following a 3-6 regular season finish.
The game is scheduled for October 31 at Hammond Central High School in Hammond, Indiana, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
Munster has demonstrated the ability to execute passing plays and move the ball effectively when in rhythm. The Mustangs plan to sustain drives and conclude possessions with points. Defensively, Munster intends to maintain pressure and contain a Hammond Central team that is seeking its first win of the season. The matchup offers Munster an opportunity to capitalize on field position, minimize penalties, and establish control early.
The winner of Friday’s sectional opener will advance to the next round of the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Class 5A State Tournament. The opponent, date, and location will be determined after the conclusion of opening-round games across the bracket.
This game marks the first meeting between Munster and Hammond Central this season.
