Munster showed grit and resilience Friday night, competing throughout a 30-7 setback against rival Andrean in a Northwest Crossroads Conference matchup.
The Mustangs (0-4, 0-2 conference) kept the game within reach early, stringing together defensive stops and looking for rhythm on offense. Munster’s highlight came in the second half when the Mustangs found the end zone on a determined scoring drive, avoiding the shutout and giving their home crowd a lift.
While Andrean (3-1, 1-0) capitalized on big plays to build its advantage, Munster’s defense forced the 59ers into long possessions and came up with key tackles to slow the pace. Special teams also provided sparks, flipping field position and keeping the Mustangs engaged into the later stages of the game.
Andrean used the win to open league play on a strong note, while Munster continues its push to turn effort into results in the coming weeks.
