Munster suffered a 53–52 loss to Lighthouse College Prep Academy in a varsity boys basketball matchup.
The game took place Dec. 30, 2025, at Munster High School.
Munster remained competitive from start to finish as the game unfolded into a possession-by-possession battle. Neither side created consistent separation, with the Mustangs answering runs and keeping the score tight through the opening half and into the final quarter. Defensive pressure and rebounding helped Munster stay within one score late, but LCPA was able to hold on in the closing moments to secure the one-point win.
Munster was guided by a balanced group effort under head coach Mike Hackett. Senior Josh Malloy provided leadership in the backcourt, while juniors Alex Johnson and Dominic Alvarez contributed on both ends of the floor. Victor Guaramato added experience and ball-handling, and Troy Jarrett gave the Mustangs a presence in the frontcourt as Munster worked through half-court sets and defensive rotations.
Munster will return to action Jan. 15 when it hosts Highland in a 7 p.m. conference matchup.
The previous meeting between Munster and Highland came Jan. 16, when Munster earned a 63–31 road victory.
