Munster’s cross country teams delivered commendable performances at the Harrison Invitational, with the girls’ team securing a fourth-place finish and the boys’ team placing 13th in a competitive field.
The Mustang girls accumulated 121 points, positioning themselves among the top programs. Their performance highlighted both experience and emerging depth, providing momentum as they approach October meets.
On the boys’ side, Munster scored 417 points in the varsity 5,000 meters, finishing 13th overall. The invitational featured some of the state’s toughest teams, and Munster maintained a steady position in the middle of the pack while gaining valuable experience for future competitions.
Harrison, Westfield, and other traditional powers led the event, setting a brisk pace that elevated competition levels for all participants. With a balanced girls’ team and a motivated boys’ squad, Munster leaves West Lafayette encouraged by its progress and focused on continued improvement in the upcoming weeks.
