Munster Boys Wrestling commenced its season with a strong performance at the RedHawk Super Duals, remaining undefeated throughout the competition to establish early momentum.
The event was held on Friday, November 28, at Goshen High School. According to reports, Munster faced multiple opponents throughout the afternoon and delivered a robust start, which they built upon as the day progressed.
The Mustangs achieved dual wins against LaPorte (46-24), South Bend Riley (58-21), Columbia City (71-6), Goshen (59-18), Chesterton (40-34), East Chicago Central (78-6), Lakeland (57-19), and Fort Wayne Wayne (84-0). The lineup consistently produced bonus-point results, including several falls and technical falls against South Bend Riley to widen the gap. Wesaal Wardak, Andrew Kooi, and Aden El Harit each secured pins in their matches. Additional contributions came from Nash Burke with a technical fall, along with falls from Diego Betancourt and Ricky Wyatt. Strong finishes from multiple upper-weight wrestlers helped Munster maintain control in each dual.
Munster now aims to carry its strong opening-day performance into December competition as the schedule transitions to traditional dual action.
Next on their schedule, the Mustangs will travel to Andrean on Thursday, December 11, at 6:30 p.m. CST.
