Munster High School will open its 2025–26 season at home with a challenging non-conference matchup against Merrillville. The Mustangs are set to begin their pursuit of another strong campaign.
The game is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, at 7:00 PM CST at Munster High School.
According to team sources, a core of returning varsity contributors provides stability for Munster, particularly on the defensive end where the Mustangs aim to set the tone early in games. Improved perimeter shooting and seasoned ball-handling are expected to help the offense find rhythm against athletic opponents. Meanwhile, developing frontcourt pieces are focused on bolstering rebounding and interior presence.
Following this matchup, Munster will travel to Michigan City for another non-conference contest on Tuesday, November 11, also scheduled for 7:00 PM CST.
The upcoming game marks a fresh early-season test for both teams as Munster and Merrillville did not meet in the previous 2024–25 season.
