Entering the 2025 season, the Munster girls cross country team is aiming for a breakthrough performance built on endurance, team chemistry and tactical racing. Several returning runners bring postseason experience, while incoming athletes have added speed and depth to the roster.
Summer preparations have focused on long-distance base building, hill work for strength and pacing drills to sharpen race execution. The team has also prioritized pack running to keep scoring tight and maintain competitive positioning against top conference opponents.
The early portion of the schedule includes multiple invitationals that will test the Mustangs against a range of competition. These meets will help determine varsity lineup structure heading into the midseason stretch, when conference standings and sectional seeding begin to take shape.
The group’s blend of leadership and youthful energy has fostered a supportive, competitive atmosphere in training. Emphasis on consistency, recovery and mental resilience has been key to preparing for the demands of the season.
