Head coach Valerie Pflum returns to lead the Munster High School girls soccer program into the 2025 season, building on last year’s postseason momentum with a roster that blends experience and youthful energy.
Pflum, entering her second season at the helm, has emphasized quick transitions, compact defensive shape and composure in front of goal during summer workouts. “We want to dictate pace and stay disciplined in both boxes,” she said.
The Mustangs return several veteran midfielders who control tempo and set the tone, while a wave of newcomers is poised to inject speed and creativity into the attack. That combination has produced competitive intrasquad scrimmages, sharpening the team’s chemistry ahead of its opener.
Early non-conference tournaments and road tests will challenge Munster’s adaptability before the schedule shifts into conference play, where consistency will be key. Pflum’s focus on team unity and tactical execution aims to position the Mustangs as a contender for a deeper postseason push.
For Munster, the 2025 season is an opportunity to translate preseason work into results on the pitch — and to strengthen a winning culture that continues to grow under Pflum’s leadership.
