The Munster High School Mustangs girls basketball team secured a decisive 55–15 victory over Gary West Side Leadership Academy in a non-conference game. The match took place on December 6 at the Gary West Side Leadership Academy.
According to reports, the Mustangs demonstrated balanced contributions throughout their lineup. Seniors Arroya Mongerie, Jaslynn Sanchez, Hazel Lukas, and I. Odeluga provided leadership and production across the floor. Juniors Kenley Smith, Amelia Ramirez, K. O’Connell, Elena Dovellos, Kayla Cipowski, and Deni Staehly contributed with scoring, rebounding, and defensive pressure. Sophomore I. Jarrett and freshman Emi Tioco helped maintain the tempo as Munster consistently scored throughout the night. A strong closing stretch on both ends of the court secured the win for the Mustangs.
Looking ahead, Munster High School is set to host Thornton Fractional South High School on December 19 at 7 p.m. The last encounter between these two teams saw Munster travel to Thornton Fractional South on December 20 last season, where they achieved a 58–35 victory.
