The Munster Mustangs defeated the Hammond Morton Governors 61–52 in a non-conference boys’ basketball game on Saturday, December 6. The game took place at Munster High School in Munster, Indiana.
According to reports, Munster jumped out to an early lead and built on it throughout the game, outscoring Hammond Morton in the first and fourth quarters to secure the win. The Mustangs demonstrated balanced offense and steady execution down the stretch. Hammond Morton battled hard, but turnovers and Munster’s defensive pressure in the fourth quarter proved decisive.
Munster is scheduled to face the East Chicago Central Cardinals in a non-league matchup on Friday, December 12.
The last time Munster Mustangs and Hammond Morton Governors met was on February 27, 2024. In that encounter, Munster edged Hammond Morton 67–66.
