Munster defeated Hammond Central 46–12 in a Class 5A state playoff matchup Friday night, advancing in the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Football State Tournament presented by the Indianapolis Colts.
The game took place on October 31 at Hammond Central High School in Hammond, Indiana. Munster’s offense performed effectively, scoring consistently across all four quarters to secure a commanding postseason victory. The Mustangs’ defense limited the Wolves to just 12 points, while their offense capitalized on multiple drives to build and maintain the lead. With this win, Munster improved its season record to 4–6, while Hammond Central concluded its year at 0–10.
According to tournament schedules, Munster will face Merrillville on November 7 in the next round of the Class 5A state tournament.
In their previous meeting before this playoff matchup, Munster also earned a win over Hammond Central.
